Our Riders

Together, WorkLink and Ship of Zion provide scheduled van service in Braddock, North Braddock, East Pittsburgh, Swissvale, Homestead, Rankin, Clairton, Glassport, Hazelwood, the Hill District, and the South Side.

Our vans bring riders to major destinations including the East Busway, the Waterfront, McKeesport's business district, many Port Authority routes, and other important locations. All our vans are handicapped-accessible.

After completing an application, every rider receives an ID card that's scanned on each trip. All trip records are uploaded to WorkLink computers, and the data is carefully analyzed. The information generated through this system allows us, and our funders, to understand in detail how the system is being used and who the riders are. Knowing where and when the demand is highest and lowest allows us to fine-tune the service for maximum efficiency.
